Should we really be managing trillions worth of renewable assets using spreadsheets? 🧐

With 2023 striking another record year for investments in renewables with just over $0.6 trillion invested, the road to achieving the energy transition in line with the 1.5°C scenario requires much more. In fact, IRENA estimates investment needs of $1.3 trillion per year until 2030 - and that’s just for new renewable capacity.

Rapid growth whilst ensuring attractive returns on investments leads to an increased complexity in the projects being developed. Investors and developers have to adapt to:

  1. Post-subsidy market

  2. New technologies like BESS, PowertoX, agrivolatics

  3. Larger portfolios operating on a global scale

  4. Mixing both new and aging assets with repowering and revamping challenges

Just to mention a few.

To overcome these challenges, asset management needs to scale. Without compromising on quality. This means using technology and data to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and optimize operations.

We think it’s time to adapt.
